NHA TRANG

Vietnam is really a country of the water.  They have so many beautiful kinds of fishing boats.  Some have eyes and some have beautiful colors.

Nha Trang is first a fishing village but it has now developed a worldwide attraction for it's beautiful beaches.

It too has cultural sits and we visited those.

The first stop was the Hindu Temple of Po Nagar.  This temple has been here since the 7th century and people are still worshipping.

Also there is a fabulous Pagoda called the Long Son Pagoda.  It's finest contribution is a giant white Buddha seated on a lotus blossom at the top of the Pagoda.  From here there are beautiful views of the city and the water below.

As most towns, it would appear there is a large Chinese population and a bustling market.  The Dam Market in the  center of the city stretches out to provide an opportunity to buy everything from local fruit such as the Dragon Fruit to dried fish to include everything even shark's fins.
